Who we are

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, business email, company, buyer type, destination country, the products and quantities you list, and — if you choose to give them — your website, phone or WhatsApp number, target delivery date and notes. We also record the page on which you started browsing and the time of submission, to help us understand which pages lead to enquiries.

When you use the contact form on our Contact page we collect your name, email address and telephone number, which are required so we can reply, together with the enquiry type and your message, and — if you choose to give them — your company and country. Contact messages are kept separately from quotation requests and are not used for marketing.

If you open a customer account, we also keep your sign-in email address, your name, your company details (company name, country, VAT or registration number, website, business type and address where you give them), a record of when your email was verified and your business account approved, and the messages, quotations, orders, shipment updates, payment records and documents exchanged through the account. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash. We record a short security log (sign-ins, password resets and changes to quotations, orders and payments, with the time and account involved) to protect the account and to resolve disputes. We send transactional emails about your account, enquiries, quotations, orders and shipments; these are not marketing.

When we ask a business customer for a supporting document (for example proof of business address) or when you attach a file to a message or upload optional payment evidence, the file is stored privately outside the public website. Only PDF, JPG and PNG files are accepted. Files can be downloaded only by signed-in users of your company account and by our staff, and each upload and download is logged. We use these documents only to review your business account, handle your quotations and orders, and check payments.

Why we use it

We use these details to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation, to run your customer account, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We send service emails about your account, enquiries, quotations, orders, invoices, payments and shipments. A quotation or order email can include the products, quantities, prices and terms concerned. Service emails are not marketing and are sent whether or not you subscribe to product updates.

We keep a log of the emails we send (recipient, subject, time and whether the receiving mail server accepted the message) so we can resend a message or investigate a delivery problem. If a mail server permanently rejects an address, we stop sending to it until the address is corrected.

Product updates

Ticking the optional updates box on the enquiry form is not required to receive a quotation. If you tick it, we email you a link to confirm your subscription. You are subscribed only after you confirm, and the link expires after 14 days. We then send a welcome email and occasional updates about new products and ranges. Customer accounts are never subscribed automatically.

For product updates we keep your email address, your subscription status, the wording you agreed to, where you subscribed, the dates of your request, confirmation and any unsubscription, and a shortened one-way code derived from your connection’s IP address (not the address itself) to help prevent misuse. We rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every update or by writing to sales@3eli.com. Unsubscribing does not stop service emails about your enquiries, quotations or orders.

Subscription requests that are not confirmed are deleted after 30 days. After you unsubscribe we keep only your email address and the relevant dates, as a record that you withdrew consent, so that we do not send you updates again.

Who processes it for us

Our website and business email are hosted by Hostinger, which stores this information and delivers our emails on our behalf under its data-processing terms. Cloudflare provides the Turnstile check on our public forms, which helps us block automated spam; it processes technical information about your browser and connection when a protected form is shown or sent. We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries, messages, customer accounts and related business records for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any resulting business relationship, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business and accounting records. After that we delete or anonymise them.

You can ask us to close your customer account at any time. We then disable sign-in and delete or anonymise the account details we no longer need, keeping only the quotation, order, invoice and payment records we must retain by law.

Supporting documents follow a fixed schedule: a file we asked you to replace, or that we did not accept, is deleted 90 days after the request is completed; files for a request we cancelled or closed are deleted after 30 days; documents and message attachments of an account we declined are deleted after 12 months. Invoices, credit notes and payment evidence are kept with our accounting records for as long as the law requires.

Your enquiry list

The enquiry list on this website is stored only in your own browser (local storage). It contains product identifiers and quantities, not your personal details, and is not sent to us until you submit the form. When you are signed in to an approved customer account, products you add are saved in a quotation list in your account instead, so you can continue on another device; a list kept in your browser from before you signed in is added to your account only if you choose to.

Analytics

This website does not use analytics or advertising tools. The cookies and browser storage it uses are listed in our cookie policy.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to its use, by writing to sales@3eli.com. You may also complain to the Portuguese data-protection authority (CNPD).
